Wow, what a Christmas holiday we had! GG and Papa arrived on the 23rd to a torn up bathroom. We had every intention of finishing it for their arrival. Unfortunately, our plumber wasn't in the same rush that we were! That happens sometimes. After 3 days there was a commode in the lower level bathroom but no sink or shower. But just wait, it will be the lap of luxury in just a week...unfortunately a week too late! Besides our bathroom issues, we have been busy celebrating our first Christmas at home in years. It was fabulous! The kids LOVED coming down stairs and finding gifts under our tree. After Christmas we had an extended family celebration including more than 20 of us. That was really wonderful to see many family members. After Christmas, we dragged GG out in the cold (okay...it was in the 40s) to Zoo Lights which was just fabulous. The kids and especially Jack, LOVED zoo lights. The weather was a factor for these Southern grandparents. As it turns out, they aren't big fans of the cold! One day while GG and PAPA were here it was almost 70. Needless to say, GG was still cold! =)
We even braved COSI during the holiday season...that was crazy! I've never seen so many kids and grandparents together in my life. We had a blast over the past 2 weeks and now we're back to the daily grind. Hope the pictures tell the rest of the story!
