Winter finally hits home!
Well, its finally winter here in Columbus. When we left for Texas on Dec 22, it was almost 60 degrees. From what I hear, it was warm the entire time we were gone. The day we arrive in Columbus, the temperature plummeted to 30 degrees and it has been hovering around there ever since. Finally though, all this cold weather is paying off because we have SNOW!!! For the first time in the kids' memory we have enough snow to play in. Unfortunately, we don't have gloves for Brynlee yet so when she first went out, she tried to build a snowman but her fingers almost fell off. She lasted about 4 minutes before she decided to go back inside. As you can imagine, it took us about 15 minutes to get her dressed to go outside!!! The 2nd time around she did much better. We decided to sled in the backyard. She loved it. I'm not sure if her favorite part was sledding down the hill in our yard or pulling the sled up the hill! Jack wasn't as thrilled about the snow. He'd rather be inside playing with his "Lightening McQueen" which is his new obsession. Weston sat inside in a high chair and watched the festivities from the back door window. He was just happy to be even a little bit included in the fun! Hopefully we'll get some more significant snow this winter and we can do some real sledding! Happy Winter!
