Merry Christmas, in Columbus at least. We celebrated Christmas at "Grammy's" on the 16th of December, and wow, was it a whirlwind! Grammy made a fabulous roast beef with scrumptious stuffing and gravy. The twins could barely sit still to eat dinner as they knew that their favorite part was next, the presents. Jackson's favorite gift was a Buckeye helmet and uniform. It was so large that it would fit any 7 year old but Jack LOVES it. Fortunately, it will fit him for a long time to come! He has been sleeping in his uniform and his helmet lays tucked under his covers at night. Grammy knew what Jack wanted, that's for sure! Brynlee got the raincoat and umbrella that she has been asking for as well as a purse with all the accessories. This morning we were getting ready to go to a church function and she was ready. She was wearing the sunglasses, had her pink cowboy boots and her pink Barbie purse...a foreshadow of the teenage years??? Jason got the Shiatsu Massage Chair that he really wanted as well as a schmancy trash can that he has requested for the past 2 Christmases. Even Weston had a blast at his first Christmas...he got his first train but I think the wrapping and boxes were his favorite part!
Besides a wonderful day celebrating with family on the 16th, we have been running from party to party. Our favorites have been the birthday celebrations as the kids learn about Jesus and his birth. Our small group had a "Birthday Party for Jesus" where we sang to Jesus, blew out candles and of course ate cake. We pray that the twins are starting to understand the reason for the season, that JESUS came to earth, lived a perfect life, and died, enabling us to know God and be with HIM in Heaven. We pray that you have a Merry Christmas and enjoy the grace and peace of our Savior! God bless each and every one!
